I haven’t posted anything in a while due to just being frustrated with my overall situation. I feel that the vast majority of people in the U.S have come to accept this racist system of mass-incarceration as something that is normal, and they expect me to accept it, also, which I never will.
Instead of speaking primarily about myself in this post, I want to use this forum today to speak about the inspirational life of a beautiful African-American women that I correspond with, named Ericka Young, who, as a 33-year-old unemployed woman, raises her two young nieces as her own daughters in Columbus, Ohio. Ericka, who’s originally from Canton, Ohio, has the medical condition “Sarcoidosis,” which is the same medical condition that the late legendary comedian Bernie Mac was afflicted with.
Ironically, like Ericka, Mac also raised the children of a sibling as his own, which became the backdrop storyline of Mac’s television show, “The Bernie Mac Show.” Unlike Mac, however, Ericka isn’t a financially well-off celebrity.
What she is, though, is a strong, strong woman, who is in need of steady employment-that is, so she can keep her head above water and raise her two nieces/daughters to the best of her ability. And, it must be noted that she is doing a remarkable job, because her nieces/daughters are both straight-A-students!
It is my hopes and prayers that someone reading this post–some kind of way–will assist Ericka with securing employment, and, perhaps, contribute to the further education of her two nieces/daughters.
If it were not for the nefarious ways of the Ohio Parole Board, I would now be present in Ericka’s life, helping her shoulder the load that no woman should have to carry on her own. Being that I’m not, however, by way of my social media platform, I’m advocating for her and asking that you please reach out to her by way of contacting any of the following:
All inquiries about Ericka Young will be promptly responded to, and you will be put in direct contact with her. Thank you for your time, and please circulate this post on your social media platform, as well as to appropriate organizations, such as Bernie Mac Foundation, et cetera.
Postscript: In closing, I just want to state that I now have a newly designed promotional billboard for my documentary, “INVISIBLE CHESS:The Jason Goudlock Story,” in Los Angeles!
Video footage and pictures of the billboard will soon be available on this website and YouTube. I’m hoping that the billboard will generate support for the film by influential social activists, such as Prof. Michelle Alexander, Colin Kaepernick, Jay Z, Kim Kardashian-West, Spike Lee, and LeBron James.
